Iontoderma: Perfect solution for sweaty hands and feet

Excessive sweating on my palms and feet has been my problem for years now. I thought that there wouldn't be any perfect solution to my problem. It's very frustrating and difficult to deal with. It always ruins my day, especially during summer time. I have tried to find a solution including home remedies, but still, nothing has worked for me so far.

The sweating of my palms and feet according to my grandma is what we Filipinos called "pasmado". She warns me not to wet my hands or feet with cold water after using my laptop. I'm supposed to rest first for few hours before washing my hands or feet. She even told me to urinate the part of my body that's "pasmado." And because of my desperation to cure my sweaty hands and feet, I did that. Disgusting right? I also tried immersing my feet in a tub with a mixture of hot water and salt. Unfortunately, after trying for so many times until now, I still have this condition.

I didn't know that there's no such thing as "pasma" until I made the research on the internet. I have read that a condition in which a person suffering from excessive sweating of the palms and feet is called hyperhidrosis or palmo-plantar hyperhidrosis. It can begin during childhood just like my daughter who's already suffering from mild hyperhidrosis at the age of four. It often runs in the family and can be triggered by different factors like stress, eating spicy food, hot or humid weather, hyperthyroidism, to name a few.

how to stop hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis can be treated in different ways such as:

Antiperspirant- Antiperspirants that contain aluminum chloride solution can be applied in the morning and before bedtime. We usually use antiperspirant to our underarms, but it can also be used to your sweaty areas like feet and palms.

Botox(botulinum toxin A)- Botox is popularly known being used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and expression lines. It can also use to treat muscle spasm and pain. Botox injections is an expensive and temporary solution to prevent excessive sweating of underarms, even on palms and feet. It can only last for several months or almost a year.

Surgery- For a person with severe hyperhidrosis, surgery is recommended by surgeons. It can be done by cutting the nerves that cause the sweating or suctioning out the sweat glands.

Iontophoresis- Because of our technology innovations, an effective solution has been made possible by Iontoderma. They created an iontophoresis machine that can treat palmar hyperhidrosis without any side effect and more affordable than the other alternatives.

The treatment is done through the introduction of ionized substance by the application of direct current on the skin. A plug and play device that only needs water. No needles and medication needed.

Check out the step-by-step video on how to do an iontophoresis treatment with Iontoderma's iontophoresis machine.
