Exams are a big challenge for kids, no matter what their age. Fortunately, there are plenty of things that parents and carers can do to help. If your children know they have your full support, they will likely perform better in their tests. I have teamed up with St Catherine’s School, a prep school in Middlesex, to offer parents some advice around helping children manage the pressure of their exams so that they can perform well on the day.

Firstly, it’s vital to make sure your child is getting plenty of sleep. Rest helps us feel relaxed and revitalised, which is important for children who need to be alert and attentive. If your child is tired, they won’t be able to concentrate during lessons or revision sessions and they’ll be distracted on the day of the test. Regular exercise and a healthy diet are also important in ensuring your child is in good health for their exams.

There are also some tips on bike security, as once your child is comfortable on their bike, you don’t want to find that it's been stolen the next time you go to use it.

Parents all over the world struggle with the same challenges as their children grow up. As your little ones learn how to explore the world by walking, running, and climbing, their energy levels will be far higher than yours, and keeping up with them can be a real challenge. This can last for many years, with some kids staying incredibly active as they enter their teens. While this may sound daunting, being able to make a difference in this area is easier than you might think, and this post is going to be helping you to prepare your body for this part of life.

Contemporary monitoring technology empowers the parents to supervise their children even if they are not in the same room. Indeed, there has been prolonged debate on “helicopter parents” versus the ones who use technology as a babysitter. But the use of parental monitoring apps is on the surge due to the convenience and innovation they offer in easing the parenting burden.

Xnspy is one such spying app for parents who are concerned about their kids’ gadget use. Social media and internet are not learning portal for the kids anymore. Kids play games on them; they make friends on social media, show their dissent, watch videos, and do everything else that’s bad for them. With the device use growing day by day, screen time is also adding to the growing list of concerns. Xnspy is one of those apps for parents that doesn’t only address the aforementioned concerns but helps parents align their kids’ digital behavior.

Even after years of gender equality, surveys show that women are still doing the majority of the household chores, even when both partners work full time. In most cases, it seems to be a pattern that couples fall into rather than a deliberate attempt by men to leave all the work to their wives. If you find you are shouldering the burden of domestic chores, then you should feel able to talk to your partner about the imbalance. However, if you have a family, don’t forget that your children should be making a contribution as well.

When your kids entered your life, your heart became a part of them. There is nothing you wouldn’t do to keep those little ones safe at all costs; they are invaluable and precious to you, so you don’t know what you would do if anything ever happened to them. As rewarding as  being a mom  is, it also comes with anxiety, panic and worry to keep your kids out of danger at all times. The truth is, you can wrap them up in cotton wool for the rest of their lives, you just need to be prepared for all eventualities. Here is a selection of ways to deal with and prevent dangers to your little angels.

Accidents Happen

When you bundle the kids in the car for a family day out, you always want to make sure they are safe and secure. Sometimes events are beyond your control as a parent and this is no reflection on you as a mother. Reckless drivers often have no concern for other people on the road apart from themselves, so they can cause incidents for no reason at all. If you are unlucky enough to experience this, then see here for all the advice you will need. The most important thing is to make sure your little ones are all okay; you will soon be able to take legal action and gain compensation you and your family deserve.

Be Food Safe

You always can to feed your kids nourishing and healthy foods, so when it comes to cooking you should always but their health and safety first. When you are first weaning little ones onto real food choking can be a huge concern for every mother. Make sure you don’t feed them anything that is a well-known choking hazard such as grapes and sausages. Slowly introduce foods that they can chew, bit and swallow and you shouldn’t have a problem with the process.

The road to raising a happy and healthy child is never straightforward. There are so many twists and turns along the way. If your heart is in the right place and you are willing to learn, you are already well on your way to becoming an excellent parent. Once you have ticked these boxes, all you need to do is put together a plan for dealing with the various problems you are likely to face. If you are wondering where to start, why not take inspiration from the following five examples?

How did you spend your time when you were a child? Did you play in the garden, climb trees, build sandcastles at the beach, read books, and let your imagination create worlds of magic and intrigue when you were playing with your toys?

Now, the next question; how does your child spend their time? Is it by doing the same kinds of eternal activities described above, or do they spend a large chunk of their time (if not all of it) glued to a screen, either watching TV, Googling the best mattresses of 2018, or immersed in video games?

The question may seem a bit irrelevant at first, but rest assured; there are some very good reasons why you should consider taking a more low-tech approach to parenting.

"Anyone can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a good daddy."

Who we are right now is because of our parents. They are the ones that help shape our future. And of the most critical influence in our childhood was a father.  While any man can father a child, but there is a more important role of being a father in a child’s life. A father is someone who would teach us the game of life and how to play it right.

But not all dads share the same parenting style and even personalities. Studies show that modern dads can be categorized into three namely a Provider, Super-Sub/Proud and Career/Workaholic dad. Despite the differences, we know the fact that a father will do everything for the sake of his family. Just like my husband, who chose to work overseas to provide excellent education, food and the things his daughter needs. His sacrifice trading loneliness working far abroad in the hope of bringing a brighter future to our family is the most selfless decision he ever made.  I know how unmeasurable those tears of sadness he's hiding behind those smiles we see as we talk through video chat. A father can be far from perfect, but as a parent, he'll do many things for the sake of his child.

Parenting, as most parents will admit, is a skill you learn on the job. You can read all the parenting books in the library but your child will not play to the script rendering everything you’ve learned useless.

You have to parent according to the particular needs of your child and how you want them to grow. There are a lot of what-ifs, as a lot of the impacts of the moment get to manifest not immediately but later as they continue to grow.

The first to be a better parent for your child is to understand them well, especially their personality.
