5 Reasons Why You Need To Drink Enough Water

Many people are not aware of water importance for life. Also, many do not realize how important is to drink enough water every day. While it's possible to go without food for a few days, or even weeks, going without water for a single day is a real nightmare for the body. That can negatively affect overall health.

Here are 5 main reasons to drink enough water.

1. Weight Loss

Drinking plenty of water on a daily basis has a positive impact on weight loss. That's because water considerably increases the metabolic rate while boosting satiety. We often eat food instead of drinking water when we're thirsty. Wrong! It leads to unnecessary weight gain, which is particularly the case for sedentary persons. The first symptom that your body is getting dehydrated is hunger. It is followed by the dry throat and mouth. If you've already eaten a meal but you are still hungry, drink one or two glasses of pure water rather than eating a snack. To be sure the water you drink is really pure and unpolluted, consider using a water filter like Standard Vortex Water Revitalizer.

2. Fatigue

The feeling of tiredness could also be a sign of dehydration. Why does it happen? The cells and tissues don't get enough water to make you sprightly when you start to dehydrate. This makes enzymatic activity slowed down because the enzymes are not able to produce energy without the water. That results in fatigue and tiredness. Water helps us to maintain and maximize our physical performance.

3. Brain Function

In addition to physical performance, water has an impact on mental performance alike. This is because hydration status strongly influences the brain. Even mild dehydration (1-3 percents of body weight) impairs brain function. It can result in bad mood and poor concentration, as well as weakened working memory. For a person weighing 150 lbs, a fluid loss of only 1% is equal to 1.5 lbs of body weight loss.

4. Digestive Problems

Without sufficient amount of water, your body doesn't have enough liquid for the normal digestive process. And without digesting the foods you eat, you are likely to gain toxins and weight. That can bring you various digestive and health problems such as nausea, stomach pain, gas bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, and loss of appetite.

5. Hangovers

Did you know that water can help you prevent hangovers? Yes, that's true. A hangover commonly occurs after drinking alcohol, and it refers to a variety of unpleasant symptoms. Alcohol acts as a diuretic, making you lose plenty of water. This leads to dehydration which may cause symptoms like dry mouth, thirst, fatigue, and headache. Here's how to reduce hangovers. Between your drinks, be sure to drink a glass of water. You should also drink two glasses of water before you go to bed.

The human body needs from 2 to 3 liters of water per day in average. It's recommended that you drink 8-ounce glasses of water eight times a day, so-called 8 x 8 rule. You can slightly deviate from this rule, but always make sure that you are staying hydrated.

  8. I've always been told to drink a lot of water, growing up in the desert when you sweat it almost as much as you put in most of the time it's important, that being said I was reading recently that the whole 2l / 8 glasses a day thing was research taken out of context many years ago, what it actually is is that you need the equivalent of 8 glasses taking into consideration water from food and other drinks etc. It was an interesting ready.
