The end of the pandemic remains nowhere in sight, but cases are getting milder and milder, thanks to the vaccines. Aside from getting vaccinated, you can give yourself and your loved ones more protection by leading a healthy lifestyle. Exercise, leaving bad vices behind, and sleep can only contribute so much to your journey to health, and to win half the trip, you also need to switch to a nutritious diet.

If you're not a fan of greens and fruits, eating healthy is a challenge, but when you turn it into an activity you and your family can enjoy, you can grow your love for wholesome meals. To begin, here are some food ideas you can try.

Drink Your Fruits

Fruit smoothies are an excellent way of making your little ones love fruits. When you ditch processed juices and commercially-sold shakes, you also save yourself and your loved ones from copious amounts of sugar.

By making smoothies with fresh fruits like blueberries, bananas, and mango with the milk of your choice daily, you get to benefit from antioxidants and other vitamins and minerals. You can also add a dash of chia seeds or flax meal and even a scoop of collagen to make them healthier.

Being a mother can be rewarding but also very stressful. There are so many new things to learn and take care of, and it can feel like there's not enough time in the day to take care of your needs. But making sure you're happy and healthy is a vital part of being a good parent for your child.

1. Get Enough Sleep

Many mothers find it difficult to get enough sleep with a new baby in the house, but lack of sleep can lead to health problems like depression and anxiety. Make sure you're getting at least six hours or more if possible. Taking naps when your child does can help you feel well-rested throughout the day.

2. Eat Healthy Foods

Having a child adds so many expenses to your life, so making sure you eat properly is very important for maintaining both mental and physical health. Ensure that most of your meals are balanced, and don't worry about depriving yourself of certain "treat" items every once in a while! Eating healthily will also make it easier for you to lose any extra weight you may have gained while pregnant.

Technology has indeed become a big part of our lives—how we move, how we work or learn, how we think. Essentially, technology allowed us to live life with more ease and convenience.

But it is still not as ubiquitous as it may seem. Somehow, technology still doesn’t click for everyone, especially those whose access is still limited. Many are also averse to its wonders, thinking it has made people lazy, too dependent on machines, ignored critical thinking, etc.

However, just like what the Bible says: “The love of money is the root of all evil.” The verse did not say money is not the root of all evil; the “love” of money is. In this case, technology is not bad; we need it to make our lives somewhat easier (not to make people lazy) and better.

That is why here in the Philippines, a group of young and visionary individuals decided to establish a party-list group that will push technology to be a big part of Filipinos’ lives not just in highly urbanized cities (HUCs) but also in the countryside. Through groundbreaking legislation, Computer Literacy, Innovation, Connectivity and Knowledge, or simply “CLICK” party-list, dreams of making technology change the way we live, work, play, learn, even govern, from the traditional and cumbersome, to the digital and high-technology, in order to make life better for everyone.
