My Magical Ways Moms Can Eliminate Stress

I think we would all agree that being a mom or a dad can be incredibly stressful. Mostly, you’ll be juggling three different roles in life at once. You will be aiming to succeed at work and elevate your career. At the same time, you want to make sure that your kids grow up that the right way. You need to be there when they need you and make sure they feel loved. On top of that, you need to consider your own private life too. Don’t forget you’re not just a mom, or a wife, or a working gal, you’re a woman. You need to have some time to spend on yourself to be happy. So, I guess the question here is can moms really have it all? The answer, I think you’ll find, is yes. But, this will only work if you are ready to deal with stress and eliminate it from your life.

Stress comes in many shapes and forms I find. There are also lots of different causes. If your kid fails a class in school, you’re going to be stressed. Was it your fault? Could you have helped him out more with that homework? A stressful workday could cause stress. Was your boss fair when they gave you that assignment with such a short deadline? What if you can’t get it done in time? You can even get stressed about trying to relax? I must book that holiday, I need to make sure that I raise enough money to go to…
See what I mean? With the causes, there are the results of stress. There are mental issues such as depression or anxiety, both of which can become quite serious. There are physical changes that stress can cause on your body. For instance, you might find yourself getting bloated. Or, you might even notice that your hair is starting to look thinner. It’s all due to stress, and it is avoidable. As promised here are some of my magic remedies for the stress you’ve been feeling.

Let It Go

If you have kids you will have no doubt heard that Disney song at least one million times in the car and on the TV. It’s a great song and you’d realize that if Disney hadn’t inundated with it. It holds an important message for you as a parent. You know that stress you’re feeling? Well just let it go and forget all about it. I know, it’s easier said than done so let’s think about a simple example here. In this case, we’re considering the possibility of stress related to that terrible Monday morning drive. You know the one where you get stuck at every set of red lights? Well, rather than honking your horn just take a deep breath and let it out slowly. You’ll be amazed by how quickly you actually feel better! It’s not a miracle cure by any means but it will help you calm down. Eventually, you will just be able to shrug off the stress you’re feeling.

The More You Know
Most people find that they are stressed because they have issues that they haven’t dealt with. These issues are building up and essentially, creating massive rain clouds in their mind. So those rain clouds will open and you’ll draw in the waters of anxiety. The dark imagery I know but that’s how it can feel. To cope with these types of feeling you need an outlet for your anxiety. My recommendation here is that you start writing down your feeling and thoughts each day before bed. There are two reasons for this. The first is that if you leave them trapped in your mind you won’t get a good night's sleep. That will ultimately make your stress worse because you won’t have the brainpower to cope with it. By writing it down, you will be giving yourself an outlet for the problems of the day. I know this is why quite a few people blog. It gives them a way of handling their problems. You might even find that by writing about how you feel, you uncover the solution. There is another way to find the answers to your issues though.

Body And Mind
Although, if you want to get rid of your stress completely, you need to heal both the mind and the body. The best way to do this is to make sure that you are getting a good night of rest each day. I know there are a lot of people who struggle to sleep at night. Stress actually makes things a lot worse because you stay up thinking. Believe it or not, most people’s sleep problems are caused by a shoddy mattress. If you can’t get comfy you won’t get a good sleep. You should look into purchase a memory foam mattress. By understanding memory foam mattresses you will soon realize how one could benefit your sleeping pattern.

Meditate My Child

If you’ve ever tried to meditate you might know that it’s not quite as simple as people suggest. People often believe that meditating is about emptying your mind of all thoughts. This is of course ridiculous. If you empty your mind of all thoughts, you’ll still be thinking of the visual image of your empty mind. This in itself is a thought and therefore a paradox. Plus, many people find it incredibly difficult to think about nothing. If I say to you, don’t think of anything, you’ll immediately think of something. This is the rather irritating way the human mind works. So instead of trying to think of nothing focus on one thing. For meditating to work, you need to hold that thought for a few hours at least. At that point, you could reach what Buddhists refer to as enlightenment. Although, basically, it’s just your brain kicking into high gear to help you cope.

You’ve probably realized that none of these ideas are magic per say. Except for meditation perhaps and even that concept is based on sound science. But you should have also realized that they don’t have to be. If you want to diminish stress, you just need to take care of your physical and mental wellbeing.
