What is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is a form of digital currency, created and held electronically. No one controls it. Bitcoins aren’t printed, like dollars or euros – they’re produced by people, and increasingly businesses, running computers all around the world, using software that solves mathematical problems.
It’s the first example of a growing category of money known as cryptocurrency.

What makes it different from normal currencies?
Bitcoin can be used to buy things electronically. In that sense, it’s like conventional dollars, euros, or yen, which are also traded digitally.
However, bitcoin’s most important characteristic, and the thing that makes it different to conventional money, is that it is decentralized. No single institution controls the bitcoin network. This puts some people at ease, because it means that a large bank can’t control their money.

Who created it?
A software developer called Satoshi Nakamoto proposed bitcoin, which was an electronic payment system based on mathematical proof. The idea was to produce a currency independent of any central authority, transferable electronically, more or less instantly, with very low transaction fees.

What is Satoshi?
A Satoshi is the smallest fraction of a Bitcoin that can currently be sent: 0.00000001 BTC, that is, a hundredth of a millionth BTC.

100,000,000 Satoshi = 1 BTC (bitcoin)
1BTC= 13,049 Pesos (sometimes it goes down to 10-12k but it could also go higher)

The process is like cooking any other kinds of adobo meal. I first removed the balut shells then reserved the broth. In a pan, I sautéed the onion and garlic then added the balut and fried for a minute. Then I added the other ingredients like the soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, pepper and the water. Lastly I added vinegar, broth from the balut, cayenne pepper and sugar to taste.

I made a vinegar with onion and chili dipping  I enjoyed eating the balut which I shared with my sister Naomi.

*Balut-balut (spelled standardized as balot) is a developing duck embryo (fertilized duck egg) that is boiled and eaten in the shell. It originated and is commonly sold as streetfood in the Philippines
