Technology has made our lives so convenient; we can do our grocery shopping online, pay out bills with the push of a button, and let our phones guilt us into doing more exercise. Finally, most of us use technology to make a decent living; freelancers, stay-at-home parents, and budding entrepreneurs just starting their business in a home office all get paid by their laptops. Here are few ways you can use your laptop to bring about your next payday.

If you find that your daily commute to work is causing you some unnecessary stress, talk to your boss about the possibility of working from home a few days a week. Studies suggest that telecommuting allowances and other types of flexible work arrangements have positive implications for employee morale and job satisfaction, both of which are positively correlated with productivity. As long as you meet all your deadlines, and you’ve been an otherwise reliable employee, there’s no reason why your boss shouldn’t consider this.
Freelance Writing
You don’t need to have a degree in journalism to make money by writing. Freelance writing just involves having some decent writing skills and the persistence to keep pitching your work to publications that pay, such as magazines, online journals, or the local newspaper. You might only earn a small amount at first, but once you’ve built up a reputation you can start charging more for your articles. Alternatively, you can apply for a flexible position with a content writing company and write as many articles as you can in your spare time.

Online surveys
It’s unlikely that you’ll make a decent living doing this full time, but completing a few surveys each day could add up to a generous grocery budget at the end of the month. Making money from a paid survey site is becoming increasingly popular with students and other busy people because very little effort is required. Be careful, not all survey sites are created equal. Some are legit and pay a decent amount of money for your time, but others either take longer to pay the same amount, or they’re scams, so make sure you read the review of each survey site before you put in your details.
Write product reviews
Smart online shoppers look at product reviews before they even think about clicking ‘add to cart.’ Honest reviews are important, and some companies are willing to pay yours for your opinion. Do some research and find out if there are any online stores that will compensate you for your review of their products.
Sell your crafts
If you get rave reviews about your cakes or crafts, perhaps it’s time to use your talents to make money. Websites like Etsy let artists sell their crafts for a fair price at a very cheap listing, or alternatively, you could create your own website, to advertise your products. If you’re a great baker, your website could result in some catering gigs. If you’re lucky, you might make a decent living from selling your creations.
thank you for this list. im in a job transition and want to try my hand at some of this
