Your Lifestyle Is Their Lifestyle

It’s no secret that children are incredibly impressionable. In fact, this sort of follower mentality serves all animals very well during their formative times. It’s what enables us to learn what’s needed to live an adult life. And, it’s exactly why most of your education will have been handled at an early age. Kids will naturally look up to their parents from an very young age wanted to replicate the things that you do and say. For this short blink, you’re the most important person in their life. So, the way that you act and treat yourself will be directly reflected by your child. In some circumstances, this can be great. But, in others, it will have some seriously negative effects. • Work

It’s hard to argue whether or not some people are born lazy. But, it is the belief of most that these sorts of habits are usually picked up throughout life. Along with learning new skills and acquiring knowledge; the younger years of someone’s life will often shape who they are as a person. And, this can include laziness. When very young kids spend their entire childhoods around people who can work but don’t; it will instill the idea that it’s alright to live like this. But, most parents don’t like the idea of their children doing nothing with their lives. So, to give your child to drive they need to succeed; you also need this drive. It all starts with their school work. At an early age, it’s doubtful that your children will have to do homework. But, they will still benefit from time spent learning a little extra at home. A lot of parents hate helping with homework or study times. But, they can be incredibly beneficial to your kid.

  • Food

17% of children in the United States are considered overweight or obese. And, these numbers are rising at an alarming rate. In fact, it’s thought that by the year 2020 over three-quarters of the population of America will fit into this category. Of course, people should be happy with the way that they look. But, being a little chunky and being obese are very different things. And, the impact on a child’s body is much greater than it is on an adult. The meals in your home should be home cooked, as much as possible. Along with this, they should also contain a wide variety of unprocessed food. Your kids may enjoy going to fast food places every few days. But, this could see them having huge health issues later in life.

Children will follow what their parents do when it comes to food. Of course, this part of life is almost always dictated by you. The kids won’t be able to choose what they eat; or, at least, they shouldn’t be able to. Children don’t know what’s best for them. So, if you don’t teach them how to eat properly; they could struggle with weight and health issues for their entire lives. Every meal that you put on the table should be as healthy for growing kids as possible. But, remember; you have to try had to find things that they will enjoy.

  • Exercise

Of course, there isn’t much point in maintaining a healthy diet; if you’re not working on your children’s exercise, too. When you’re young, your body is better at digesting things like sugars than complex proteins. As life goes on, this switches; which is why children tend to like sweets much more than adults. But, it’s also why children will often have a massive excess of energy. This energy needs to be used. And, the best way to do that is through some good old fashioned exercise. Your kids won’t want to join you in the gym, though. Instead, you need to find other ways to get them active. Most kids will enjoy activities like swimming and sports more than training exercises. So, it’s a good idea to try and use things like this trick your children into exercising.

If your child sees you doing nothing each day; they will find it very easy to follow suit. So, along with helping your kids to exercise, you need to get in on the action, too. Most adults will let their work and other commitments get in the way of their fitness. This is a shame, though. It’s a great feeling to be able to keep up with your children. A lot of parents struggle to run around and have fun. But, this sort of situation is easily avoidable. Finding activities that you can all get involved with will help you to achieve your fitness goals without having to hit the gym. Finding activities that your kid likes is easy. But, if you’re at a really loose; you could talk to their school to see which activities they enjoy most in physical education and on the playground.

  • Sleep

Sleep is a funny thing. Scientists are still puzzled as to why exactly we need to sleep. The few sound theories out there seem to contradict each other. But, if one thing is for certain; humans need sleep. Without it, it’s harder to work and learn. And, in most cases, it will also have an adverse impact on your health. Kids are particularly at risk of things like this. And, failing to get enough sleep can have a massive impact on them throughout their school life. Even growth has links to getting the right amount of sleep; with the growth hormones found in humans being released mainly during sleep. Your child will require different amounts of sleep at different ages. So, you have to do some research to figure out exactly where your kid will sit.

Your children won’t be responsible enough to deal with their own sleep. Instead, you have to be very strict about it. Bedtimes may cause a little bit of trouble in some households. But, the impact of ignoring this area could be massive. So, it’s worth at least considering. Along with this, you have to make sure that you’re not doing anything that stops your child from sleeping. For example, eating meals too late will make it very hard for your children to sleep. And, being noisy while they’re in bed could keep them up. Children won’t often complain when they’re feeling tired all the time.

The bed that your child sleeps on will also impact their sleep. Long with this, it could also have an effect on their health, too. Most cheap beds aren’t suitable for a growing child. At this time in their life; they need to have something that will accommodate their growing body. The bed frame itself won’t make much difference. So, you can get something beautiful and cheap here. But, the mattress has to be researched. There are loads of different types of mattress out there, nowadays. Some are designed to make sure that children have the very best night’s sleep; while also preserving the joints in their back and neck. Finding the right option will take some research. But, you can learn more about Saatva and other types of the quality mattress from loads of different sites. Reading reviews will help you to no end here. A lot of parents ignore this area. And, it’s the children who pay the price.

  • Social

Like mentioned above, this time in a child’s life is when they will be learning the most. And, this applies to their social life, too. When you’re a child, you spend a lot of your time learning how to interact with other people. But, without the right lessons; it can be very hard for the good things to be learned. This will often result in rude adults. And, could make life hard for your child. But, like everything else on this list, your child will mostly follow your lead in this area. If they see you being rude to people serving you in the supermarket; they will probably do the same in later life. Teaching your child to be a caring and compassionate person will start when they’re born.

Fostering a healthy social life for your child can be hard. From an early age, they will start to want to spend more time with their friends. And, you have to let them do this. When they’re really young, this can be supervised. But, as they get older, you have to be more relaxed. Along with this, you also have to make sure that your home is somewhere that your kid’s friends will want to come. Having friends over to will make your child’s life all the better; especially as they get older.

Your child’s life will be largely dictated by the things that you teach them. And, although you may not see it; you’re always teaching your children. They will learn from your words and actions; even when you do intend for it to happen. So, you have to make sure that you’re a living example of what you want them to be when they grow up.
